I've been reading some good articles on the six seasons of bass fishing and was wondering what you all thought were the six stages of the water temperatures here in north Texas?

The article struck me as generic in nature as suggested in paragraph four. The one thing that I picked up on was the "upper part of the water column" in the post spawn. One of my favorite times to fish is the PS, I normally start in the upper column and it was good to hear that reiterated as not to spend too much time probing elsewhere.

I caught more fish back in the day when I didn't have all the tech. on my boat. Somewhere on that lake the Bass are going to be shallow to feed early in the morning. Then they will move off into deeper water to their comfort zone. You just have to work hard to find those spots that they come to day in and day out year round in hot or cold. Bass function very well in 40 degree water and 95 degree water when they are feeding. I have caught many good fish in 2 ft. of water with ice forming on the shore line, using a jig and slow presentation.

I agree Don. I was just wondering if guys found this to be true here in north Texas? It seems that some guys can fish shallow all year along with the guys that fish deep all year. Our winters are like most falls in other parts of the country
