Recreational fishing is an important and popular recreational activity in Texas. There are many factors that may affect your fishing activity. To gather information on your opinions on fishing in Texas, we are conducting a survey of anglers who purchased a license during the September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2015 fishing season. The survey is being conducted by researchers from Texas A&M University on behalf of the Coastal and Inland Fisheries Divisions of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to learn more about the fishing experiences, opinions, preferences and activities of Texas anglers. The information gathered will provide information in support of fisheries management decision-making throughout the state. Your responses to the survey will help to inform us as to where you stand on these important issues. YOU are one of a small number of anglers that were chosen to participate in this study. Your response to this survey is completely voluntary. You are in no way obligated to participate if you do not feel comfortable doing so. However, we would appreciate you taking the few minutes necessary to complete the questionnaire. Your answers will remain anonymous and completely confidential. Only aggregated results will be reported. Once the study is complete, all names and addresses will be destroyed. We WILL NOT sell or distribute your name and address to any other party. The questionnaire should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
