 NO FISHING LICENSE NEEDED THIS SATURDAY JUNE 6?????

I think the "free fishing day" is the first Saturday of June every year correct?? I searched the TPWD website and cant find anything about it for 2015.
Anyone know if they are doing it this year? Last info I found was for 2014 on their website.
Planning on taking a couple of friends out this weekend and need to know if they need a license.

"FISHING LICENSES AND PACKAGES
The first Saturday in June of each year is the annual Free Fishing Day and no person is required to have a fishing license or stamp endorsements while fishing on that day."

Who (that fishes at all) would not have a license in the first place for this to be useful?? Kind of weird

It's a day for taking a buddy/wife/girlfriend. See if they enjoy it and if they do, you can then spend money on a license.

There are summer interns where I work. One of them is from Cincinnati and loves to fish. I may take him with me tomorrow.
