Fishing in Mexico does not afford us the luxury of picking up "whats catching" fish during a weeks stay. Inevitably, I run short on what is working. So, as a group we scramble to share and that often works great, but sometimes you run short. It is usually the head of a particular lizard or fluke color that I need. So, when you need to mend the top portion of the plastic which is the best option? Mend it. Sonic welder or Soldering Iron?

I heat a knife over a candle or butane torch then lay it on the damaged area. melts a little bit of the plastic and it flows into the crack or hole.I only use mend it or crazy glue on swim baits they have like a skin that melts away if you use the knife.
I throw all my chewed up plastics in a bucket then melt em all when I start to run out or get bored. Easy way to save some coin just gotta work on your timing hold it too long and it will make a big flat spot.
