Just got word that I'll be off tomorrow so I'm making a last minute trip to Toledo in the morning. Haven't been there at all this year so I was wondering if anyone could clue me in to what the fish are doing. I'll be launching at site 7 and probably start around texas island and move toward 6 mile. Are the fish out deep or still some fish shallow? I'm just fun fishing so if the frog bite is on I wouldn't mind doing that all day. Any info is appreciated, thanks.

There is a Citgo station in Buna (or Kirbyville...I don't remember which), that has non ethanol.

I'd suggest a Carolina rig outside the grassline with watermelon candy colored plastics, but as others have said they are biting 0-25'. Goodluck and enjoy your trip.

Lake is rising quick. It's come up about 3" just today during the rain. Hopefully the weather will hold off long enough to fish some instead of watch the water grow.

???
any specific plastic WM-Candy better than another ?
worm, senko, fluke, creature ?
I will be there this weekend and next, but my son & his family will be there for 10 days just off the Chicken Coop & Patroon Bay.

Thanks for the info already posted -- it really helps.

Good luck.

I'm jealous. I want to get down to fish TB and Rayburn. It's been way to long since I've fished either of these lakes.

Let us know how you do.

I was catching them on flukes and V&M chopsticks on the C-rig and a few on the big wild thang worm.
