The Corps of Engineers website shows a current water release rate of 5,364 cfs.

Two questions:

1. Is this correct?

and------

2. If this is correct, where is it going. Hopefully eventually into EM ?

How would CC discharge end up in EM? EM is north and west of CC.

Some of it is coming to eagle mountain,, That is why it has been slowly rising is because Ceder Creek is full. TRWD has a pipeline from there to Eagle Mountain

Cedar Creek discharges into the Trinity River and it goes towards Lake Livingston.

cc has been catching lots of water and has been over-full for weeks. hope the excess ispumped where it needs to be and not released downstream to an overfull livingston, but i suspect most is the latter.

We were downtown Log Cabin Saturday night and the storm that came threw dumped a good bit of water on the water shed. Saturday the creeks were not running much. Sunday the creeks that go under 175 were all full and running hard. And with the lake full everything is going right over the spillway.

US Army Corps of engineers have had those flood gates wide open since early March when the lake was about 2' below normal level. With all the rain that they have had it would have been flooded by now if they had not of opened them. They know what they are doing. And yes they are pumping water back up to Benbrook, then to Lake Weatherford, then to Eagle Mountain. But a 72" pipe line trying to fill these lakes out West is like you trying to drink all the water in your bath tub thru a small straw.

Yesterday when I drove by the spillway, the two end gates were cracked open. Didn't look like that much flow though. CC is currently full. TRWD does a good job of keeping the lake from rising too high, where it can flood docks, roads, yards, etc. Water released from the spillway goes into the Trinity and down to Lake Livingston.

TRWD is currently pumping about 90 mgd from CC and about twice that much from Richland Chambers, all going into Fort Worth. 150 mgd of that is going into Eagle Mountain.

They have 2 gates open at the spillway. Saw it on Saturday. Fished the rocks at the spillway for about 10 minutes.

The pipeline coming into EM is 92" and it has been rolling in since CC has been full, since about the first of March. Apparently nothing is going out to Lake Worth as usually EM only stays even when pipeline pumping and EM has been gaining a lot since the pipeline cranked back up. It was over 11' low a month and a half ago.
