TFF I'm looking for some advice on Lake Grapevine. My dad and I went out there today for the first time. We did a lot of idling but came up empty. We're going to spend most of our time out there now trying to figure it out.

We went up into some of the fooded cover up shallow but it was pretty muddy and full of gar.

What are all the pink bouys marking in the north side of the lake? I'm also wondering if anyone knows where I can watch the MLF episode from out there.

Thanks!

While its muddy, find the cleanest water you can.

We were out there this morning and all creeks are mud! Kinda overwhelming after a week ago you could almost sight fish! It's liable to be tough for a few days! We looked for cleaner water and caught a few on some moving baits! I would guess it's going to be tough till the water settles some!

There's clean enough water to sight fish..gotta do a lot of searching to find it.

It was pretty windy out today. Saw plenty of gar and didn't catch anything.

On a side note, TFF is terrible for information. splat

I'm with you on the gar. Gar spawn is on at Grapevine. I was out there today and only managed to pull 1 LMB out of the lake. Saw more gar than I could count up shallow in the coves.

Kevin is right... You have to find the clearest water and there in places where you wouldn't think they would be.
