Never been anywhere north and I'm thinking about trying it out sat. Will I have any issues going into Kickapoo in a basscat? I would probably be on the trolling motor the whole time . I've just heard different stories that there isn't enough water for a big boat etc and some say I'll be fine .... For those who have been recently give me your advice .
Thx carrot Stix

I haven't been on Palestine in a while but you should be fine. Looks like the lake is 2.5' low. Good Luck out there.

The problem is not fishing the north end, but the trip there. At 2.5 low, you can lose a lower unit real fast. Pipeline is narrow,
Poweline has some shallow humps, old roadbed is iffy, not much water on banks of the creek, and lots of duck hunters. We need some rain to bring our lakes up.

Exactly what Pottkotter said, getting there sucks.....he has fished that lake since its inception.

The most dangerous (North End) ride in ALL of TEXAS! Not to mention but, Lake Tyler looks like its lost 2ft in just the last 3 weeks!

Tyler is almost 5ft low. If we dont get some rain it will be 10ft low this summer.
