What size and kind of rod do you usually use for largemouth?
I am thinking of buying a Revo STX and was trying to figure out what kind of rod to match it up on as I mainly wanna go for largemouth bass and some catfish maybe, although may use a different reel for that. Might get a kayak soon, so if I do it would be used for that.
The guy I am gonna buy the STX from has two Temple Fork Outfitter rods he was willing to sell with it for 90 each and I was thinking one of them might be a good idea. Both 7'6" ones ML the others H. IF not I was thinking maybe a 6'6" MH AllStar or something.
Suggestions here?

If the kayak is over 13' you need a 7' or over. Ever time I get a good bass she wants to make a run from side to the other.

50-100 price range preferably on the lower scale but I figure if I am gonna get a nice reel having a nice rod with it to match makes sense and if its worth paying a little more then go ahead and do it now instead of replacing a broken rod. Y'all think 7'6" ML or H are bad ways to go from TFO?

The 7'6 MH or M would do the trick for most cases. I use the 703 ML for throwing small crankbaits and jerkbaits such as the Lucky Craft Pointer 65 and Rick Clunn .5. The M is my all around rod and if I only could choose one the TFG FWC 704-1 would be it. The 7'6" version is the TFG FWC 764-1.

7' MH for everything except cranks and spinnerbaits and for those I use 7' M. Think I'd stay away from the ML and H rods for the time being.

i would not scrimp on a rod, rods are one of the products that you really get what you pay for.
You can get a 7 mh split grip, st. croix mojo for 99$. If feels and fishes like a very high end rod.

If youre getting an stx get an abu garcia vendetta rod for it. they are factory matched for the perfect balance point at the reel seat. Ive already bought two and am replacing my whole collection with these rods.
