Looking at going to Ivie in the next week or so and I know the lake is 40+ ft low. Advise on where to put in and what areas should I target first? Also hazards to lookout for when running the lake?

Put in at Elm Creek Village. Main lake points are a good place to start fishing wise. Only run wide open in the main lake and the river channel. Good luck.

Put in at Kennedy (elm creek) and eat while you're there, best food on the lake. Main lake is easy to run but if you head north stay in the river. Fished tough today but you never know when that ine fish will bite.

I launch at Elm Creek as well. Ramp is a bit funky and if you can't back a trailer very well you will find it challenging. Each lane if curbed and with the lake over 40' low its a long ways to back a trailer but not near as long at the ramps at Amistad. Like others said stay in the channels and if you don't have a graph with mapping on it be careful. There's just as many trees just under the surface as there is sticking above it.

Put in at Elm Creek. Most of the fish are being caught deep. Early is good top water bite. Good Luck!
