Im hearing soooo much about it....anyone fish it more than often? Im thinking on setting up a weedless one. Is it the best Finesse bait out there for these hot summer days for these sluggish bass? Thanks- Tight Lines Fellas

I wish it wasnt so popular now. Nobody used to throw it... or at least no one used to talk about it. Its a great finesse rig for several situations.

I started throwing the neko rig and have had success. Switch to drop shot, but need to change it up again and return to neko.

I throw the Neko and the Ned rig when things are tough. The bite is always tough for me, so I throw it alot. Rather than an exposed hook, I mostly use a Texas-Rigged variation. I've heard it referred to as a Chicken Rig.

in our dirty water, how effective is it? I am no expert but have used this alot in the past year. I used it 4 weeks ago on Bridgeport in really muddy water when I couldn't get a bite on other stuff. I got lots of bites on a bubble gum pink senko rigged as a Texas-rigged Neko (chicken rig). I was flipping around cover on the bank just like I would flip any other soft plastic. I use a very light nail weight. Actually, take a 1/16 nail weight and cut it in half. This gives just enough weight to make it fall in a slow twisting erratic pattern.
