Went to RC yesterday and needless to say, coming from Cedar Creek I was a bit overwhelmed. I threw at every tree before before even leaving Oak Cove. Not a single bite. Any tips out there? Maybe eliminate some water for me. Any special features or depths I should look at and try and duplicate around the lake?

All the big main lake flats by the dam hold bass. Fish the edge of them near deeper water with a Carolina rig.

They have also been relating to docks with some deeper water near them and plenty of shade underneath. not much grass but there is some as well as pads. Deep points are also good on a crank bait or c rig, don't discount a drop shot either. Good luck and be careful no boat lanes.

I don't. RC has so much timber that I don't think it's an "attractor". I do fish docks and a lot of grass. Then points and rip rap.

During the summer I fish the cattle humps. If you have Navionics it will show them. Also the long tapered points and road beds will hold fish. The trees are good but they need to be on structure, humps, pond dams, etc.
The sand bass have just about taken over the south end and eating more than their fair share of shad. Not one of my favorite lakes to fish anymore. PK, Bridgeport and Fork are better in my book.
