I have been wanting to post this for a while now but just never got around to it. I am at a minimum a weekend angler who just loves to fish. I am by no means a great tournament fishermen like many of you guys. I just enjoy fishing as much as I can. This winter I tried to do as much research as I could to help me out. I read 100s of posts on here and bbc. To the guys that share true knowledge with everyone I must say thank you very much. You can read about anything you want on these two forums. My time has paid off a little and Im still reading a lot. But I need to give a huge shout out to Donald Harper. I truly read all his posts, he has sent me several things to read and has answered all my pms when I have questions. He is without a doubt a great person and a encyclopedia full of fishing knowledge. A few months ago I decided to purchase some baits from him. I bought 3 spinnerbaits, a Zara spook, and 2 jigs and the scent package. I must say that I am not a jig fisherman so I have not put the time in with those yet to give a review but Im slowly dedicating more and more time to them each trip to try and gain some confidence. Ill tell you this, compared to all the other jigs in my boxes, they are absolutely amazing looking and much higher quality then the rest. . However, the spinnerbaits, I have fished them a lot. WOW. They run true every cast unlike the other 30 or so I have been throwing in the past. They are truly amazing baits and Im going to be ordering more because Im nervous that if I loose one when Im out fishing I wont have another one to tie on. My brother and I usually fish 1 team tournament a month. We do it to get out and we enjoy ourselves. Very very seldomly we will be in the hunt for $. We just do it for a good time. About two months ago we weighed in 21.5 lbs. that was by far the heaviest bag we ever weighed in. Well them fish were caught on Donalds spinnerbaits!! I dont post much on here, just read a lot, but I have to give credit when credit is due. I truly owe a huge thank you to Donald, not only for the baits, but all the articles and info he has sent me to read through on my off time. As many of you know on here, he is a great person and love to help people out. If you have been on the fence and thinking about ordering some, I would highly recommend it. You will not regret it. Just read other peoples posts on here and you will see why your yet to read about someone not liking the baits Thank you again Donald and I will be ordering more spinnerbaits soon

WOW! That is a beautiful string of fish for the State of Illinois. I may have to come up there and join you to get me some of that. Good fishing my friend and it is time to break out those jigs for deep water structure. Thanks for the kind words.

His baits and insight are awesome, but his teachers heart is something we should all strive for.

Donald's really got a gift for breaking things down and helping us weekend anglers out. Call it what you want, but in the last year I've started taking his advice, using his map work, and using his baits (spinnerbait, chatterbait, and heavy structure jigs), and my bags have really improved. Heck I caught my first DD bass the first weekend I used his map work on Fork.

I love it when a plan comes together, I fished the local Bass Cat owners tournament on Toho. The last 5 Fish came on Donalds super spook, purple and silver. Congrats on your great catch

Donald certainly has the experience and can guide you in the right direction!
It's nice to see these guys with all of their experience sharing as much as they do. Many times everyone is so tight lipped about everything they wont help out.
Donald is a solid contributor!
