Haven't tried the robo hook.....but the gama above is not that great. I use just a regular ol mosquito hook...tie a palomar with a long tag and pull the entire knot back through the eye. This will make the hook stand out. Tie your drop weight to the tag end.

I use a Robo 2/0 on 10lb fluro. I fish mostly drop and C-rig now and the robo worms and hooks are money. Drop is easy to take new anglers as you don't have to do a hard hook set to catch fish.

The swivel-ized hooks are designed for the guys that dropshot deep water vertically. I fish with a guide at Table Rock once a year and we always dropshot directly under the troll-motor in 60-100' of water. Typically the fish are suspended 40-50' down. When you dropshot vertically like that it causes severe line twist. Thus the need for the specialized hooks.

The boys and I have been using the 1/0 and 2/0 Owner Riggin' Hook for a few years with good results but if Sinkey says the Robo hook is better I would have to agree with him! I do know that those drop shot hooks that come with the swivel made onto them don't work well for me. I had some that were gieven to me and I cut the swivels off and used the hooks. If i'm using spinning gear with braid and flouro leader I don't use a swievel but if I bubba shot with a baitcaster I use a swiveel a couple of feet above the hook. I'll have to look for some Robo Rebarbs and give them a try!

Ive been experimenting with using circle hooks for dropshotting and have been super impressed. Majority of the fish that bite get hooked in the hard part of the roof of thier mouth and the hook will actually curve back around and hook them again. Once they are hooked like that there is almost no chance of them getting off. If they dont get hooked there, they are hooked right in the corner of the mouth like the circle hook is intended to. They hardest part for me has been not actaully setting the hook. When you feel the bite you just have to reel in and keep pressure for the hook to work correctly.

Also works really well for wacky rigging. Again the hard part is just reeling in and not setting the hook like you are used to.

Spark plug ? Now why didn't I think of that, I've been using roller skate wheels.
