What knot are using for this? Do you use the same knot for all sizes of line?
Thanks CB

I tie the double uni knot. Albright is another good one.

Alberto knot. Works on all sizes. More twists or less twists....depending on line diameter is the only adjustment.
It is the smallest diameter, easiest, and strongest leader knot.

The Albright & Alberto knots are so similar, both are very strong knots.

FG Knot. It's the thinnest, strongest one I've tried.

FG Knot. It's the thinnest, strongest one I've tried. +1. No need to look further. Literally the thinnest strongest knot possible line to line. I will say if you are using light lines or lines of very similar diameter, you'll need to do a lot more wraps than most of the youtube video's show. If I'm using line under 12lb line, I wrap 30-35 times. Also make sure you cinch the whole thing before you cut the tag ends. I like to give myself a 10-20 foot leader so I can do plenty of lure switching before I need to redo the main knot.

Allow me to expound a little bit on why the FG knot is better than the alberto...
The FG will be about 33% thinner. It's been shown in the lab to be about 30% stronger. The alberto has the tag ends facing the lure, which means they will catch more on the guides during the cast. The FG has the tag end facing away from the lure which means it slides much more easily through guides. FG also has a smoother line to knot transition.
So... Now you can use braid to flouro and actually cast. You'll have a ton more sensitivity, and greater casting distance, and fewer knots and tangles (particularly with spinning gear). Plus you save a bundle on flouro costs over the year.
I'm close to an evangelist on how awesome this knot is.

Improved(crazy Alberto) with a dab of superglue gel rubbed in after you tie down the knot.
The superglue lays down the tag ends and improves the line to line knot strength (especially on the newer coated slick braided lines)
