Good day. I am looking for some help. I have a friend coming in from Ga. and his boy is set for fishing for all the different bass. Well this year he is set on a Guadalupe bass. Where is the best option in the Austin to San Antonio area for him to check off another Bass off his list.. My home lake is Canyon and I have a boat. Also what would you use for bait?

Thanks in Advance

Lake Travis is full of guads. Light tx rigged baby brushhogs, shaky heads, etc.

Is there a color that they want more than others in Travis? I have several colors now but I could easily get others. I think that I have Green Pumpkin, Junebug, Watermelon Seed and a root-beer.

Does it matter if it is the tiny or baby brush-hogs?

Does a down sized Neko Rig work?

for ned rig I use a Yamamoto 3" Fat Senko. Something like Green Pumpkin or watermelon is fine. That's normally what i use. I've caught more guads up the lake near the 2 rivers than down lake, but they are pretty common in both areas.

Fish the Guadalupe. Shakey head finesse worm or small finesse jig. Canyon is full of them also.

Glad to hear that Canyon is full of them. That is my new home lake. I am still figuring it out but it has been fun so far. I am going to try the Ned Rig. We used them up north on Smallies. I am sure it would work the same.
