Bought a new boat from BPS. It came with the temporary registrstion tag. Does that registration # change once I get my inspection decal and trailer plates from TPWD? I don�t recall getting any information from TPWD regarding what my registration #�s are and they have been ZERO help. So I�m tempted to just get the decals that are on my tenporary registration plate...

Number won�t change. That tag is only good for a week or 2, took almost a month for my tags to come in on my boat. You have to go back and ask for a new temporary if not in yet and date expires.

The temp tag can and will probably change. I just received my tags in the mail. BPS will mail the tags to you since they filed for them. I was also told by the BPS sales rep to not install the card board temp tag numbers on my boat until I got the official ones. Good thing I waited because they were different. They will change the ones ending in AA are temporary dealer numbers. The very nice female Game Warden pointed it out to my fishing partner at Squaw Creek last month while she was checking his boat. Use the ones on the registration card you receive with your stickers from DPS.
