Hey guys, if you haven’t been to Toledo Bend lately, you’re missing out. The lake is fishing as good as it has in awhile now. We have been fishing 2 patterns, shallow and deep. The shallow bite has been good with the high water. Spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and flipping bushes have all produced some good fish here lately. Although the shallow bite is great right now, I still rather fish out deep. I’m finding both pre and post spawn fish in 15-28’ of water right now. I’m not finding many “big” schools, but if I see one or two big fish I’ll stop and cast at them. My last 4 trips we have had 22, 23, 23, and 24lbs. The big girls are biting! If you want to learn how to utilize your electronics and catch fish offshore, now is the time to go.
