I'm going to catch grief from my club but I thought I'd throw this to the forum. We fish there next Sunday. I fished it today and it was very slow. It also felt a lot like summer time fishing. I had a few bites early and then they locked their jaws. But it seems to me that there is too much hydrilla in the lake. Almost all water less than 16 feet is vegetated with hydrilla. That makes it difficult for me to decide how to attack it. Does one just fish hydrilla? There is so much there that there is a lot more hydrilla acreage than fish could populate. And with it being so slow does one try to fish the wall at 16 feet, trying to find fish on the outside edge? One can really prove to themselves Lowrance Gen 3 units see the hydrilla well. It looks like there is a wall of the stuff in that lake. So in asking you experts how to attack the lake, I'm sure I'll get a few snarky answers like start by fishing in the water!! And finally another observation: I didn't see anyone fishing the discharge side. I guess that is understandable given on the cool side the water was about 86 degrees. Very summer like.

20ft edges of grass with 1oz weight and ur favorite plastic. Unless they have plant running it's tough in summer. We actually catch more big fish when water is 100 then in Jan and Feb

If you can stand the heat, it fishes very well haven't been out there since early summer, but paddle tail swimbaits, frogs, and senkos will catch them.

Without hydrilla it would be a dump. Learn to flip grass imo
