I am leaving today around 4 pm. Taking my boat. Wish I had a flat bottom but my bass boat will have to do. Does anyone have info on the roads getting into Houston. Is 45 okay to take? Please pray for the safety of everyone there. I have no idea what it will look like.

There is a number on one of these posts. Call Houston police and they will tell you where to go

The academy at 4627 E Sam Houston parkway near Pasadena is a command center for the Louisiana Cajun Navy. They are actively wanting surface drives, flatbottom, airboats if you can get to that location.

I was told the Cajun navy was good and did not need any help at this time. Mine is a bass boat and I wondering if they need that type of boat.

My buddy is headed that way with his 18 ft. duck boat and it has 8ft. power poles that will come in handy. Was told to meet at the Pasadena Academy with plenty of extra fuel and ropes. Prayers sent for him and whoever needs help.

I had a couple guys from our Club asking about this as well. Please post any info you get on this Coach. Good luck, God Bless and be careful!

Watching it on the news right now, they're saying nowhere near enough boats to help out, thousands if not 10's of thousands stranded... Be careful Coach...

God bless man, keep us updated.

Seriously keep us updated though because I'd take off school with my boat if they could get use from a bass boat.

Thanks to all for helping us. Some situations are truly desperate. May God bless you and your families.

I say this as a firefighter who is in contact w/many firefighters that have been deployed there both paid and volunteers. I also say this very humbly because I know your heart on this: do not load up your bassboat and drive down to Houston without prior contact with an agency that's specifically wants your equipment. If you already know of a need for large fiberglass bassboats that I've not heard about: go for it and God bless but otherwise all I've heard of a need/want for is the above mentioned flat bottomed johnboats. Otherwise do not add to the confusion and masses. In other words do "become part of the problem". Good luck with whatever you do! This is why I ask about a need for larger boats.

Right now I was told that they have everything covered but this Thursday and Friday will be a bigger need. I have been in contact with the cajun navy,
