Never have been a big fan of braid (used the Power Pro you can get at walmart.) Just got a new Concept TX reel and willing to give braid another go. I need 30#. Debating Sufix 832 or Fins Windtamer.. other suggestions welcomed. Thanks!

Felt the same way for a long time, then I tried P-Line's it's Teflon coated or so they say. Really like it and have had it on my reels all year.

Very smooth through the guides, casts easily, no knot issues. Best I've found.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

You didn't like the PowerPro? That's all ive used the past 3-4 years. Other suggestions would be sunline or p-line. Never tried the Suffix as I have had bad experience with their mono and fluoro but braid may be worth a try! Good luck with whichever you choose!

If you don't like the Power Pro, I'd go with Sunline.

The Power Pro I used wasn't that Super Slick 8 that people seem to like. It was the moss green stuff in the green package you can get at walmart. Had a lot of wind knots with that stuff. Currently I have 12# Suffix Superior mono on my reels and haven't used any mono line that was better.

I like the fins windtamer. I have the pink color in 15 lbs and it's been a great line so far with no issues. It came recommended from my family on the coast. Cast really good.

Sunline BX2 is the only braid I will use. Hated braid for a long time but started throwing again for certain techniques. I have this line on 2 rods (Carolina and punching) and it has been great. Been on sale for a while on TW as well which is nice.
