This rigging technique is new to me but I'll bet there are those already doing this.

I have been using a screw lock twisted in the middle of a senko and putting the hook thru the closed end. This not only saves my bait but imo has more action because the connection is not as tight as with a o ring.

Pretty cool. Have you had any baits fall off? I guess lifting it back in the boat or anything. I like the idea

Nice tip. I'll try that out this summer.

I guess I'm a little slow? Would you mind showing a picture on how you are rigging with the twist lock and inserting the hook?

I screw it down to the plastic so it cannot go back over the barb but with enough room to swing front to back and side to side. Typically it moves up the shank freely once the fish is on and stays attached, however from time to time I will unscrew and replace the screw lock in a different spot on the plastic if it has a loose fit.

Great idea;

You could put two large rubber stoppers (one on each side of the centering pin) to keep the pin from moving too much. I have some large ones designed to keep trailer hooks in place. They also work on structure guard type jigs to keep the structure guard on the hook

I like the look of the rig! But, for the life of me, I can't figure out where the CPS is located in your pic.

???

Looks like the centering pin (in this example: screwed into the craw) with the centering pin attached to the punch hub looking rubber (attached to the hook)-- Nice design.

^Correct. We have our tungsten neko weights with built in Owner CPS as well attached to the craw. Makes for a great visual food Presentation!
