Heading up to Cypress Springs for the weekend. How has it been fishing? Not looking forward to the 50 wake-boarding boats and 3 foot waves all day sick.

Still haven't made a trip to Sandlin but maybe this will be a good weekend to try with all of the boats on Cypress Springs.

Memorial Day weekend will be rough, get out early. West of the bridge is no pulling but the jet skis will be everywhere. Hope someone gives you good news. I fished this past weekend and only caught small ones.

Sandlin would be tons better than that bounce fest at Cypress . Cypress is very bad on holiday weekends . Fish docks on Sandlin near deep water , its been fishing good all spring , fish are in all depths . And you wont have much , if any problems with pleasure boats .

I worry about running Bob Sandlin. That is the only thing holding me back from ever fishing there.

Don't worry about running Sandlin , the boat lane is real wide , stay in the middle . Best advise is to just fallow someone . Just idle into coves , lake is full , you can run a lot of stuff right now safely . If your really concerned , just put in at 21 bridge ramp , put the trolling motor down , most of the good fish are in that end of the lake anyway .

Monti is fishing good too, traffic will be less than both Sandlin and Cypress. Best thing is, you have access to two lakes from the same park.

Which park? Probably a dumb question but I have never fished those lakes.

Monticello camp ground bb675 , only public ramp at monti , and also a ramp to access Sandlin there . Its 2 bucks a man , pay at the gate , drop box deal . One of the nicest camp grounds around , and not many people use it .

Nice map! And thanks for the info about the park with ramps to both lakes! Will get up there one day!
