The lake I fish does not have a contour map. I have an 1198c, is there a program I can buy for my humminbird that will allow me to map the lake?
Thank you Lord for the gifts in my life

Navionics Sonar Chart program or the Lake master auto-chart, depending on which you prefer. Both great tools.

I bought the Zero-Lines mapping card for 99.00$ it's a very good tool one thing is you get you pay for... you have to spend the time on the water to collect the data. You pay for the Navionics or Lakemaster you should have all the data in place you need. Also saw on here where you can do the same thing that the Zero-Lines does with a standard SD card, not sure if that's right though.

If you buy the autochart pro you can map any lake, it comes with the zero lines card BC is talking about above. Then you can build maps on your PC and transfer them to your unit, also you can get bottom hardness on the map. So you can draw a map that will literally show you where the bottom is soft or hard in an area. Go to youtube and search Humminbird autochart, some good stuff there especially from Doug Vandergrif (sp?) the HBird guy.
