I am heading to Lake Fork this weekend for only the 2nd time ever. If anyone wants to share any spots that would be great. Feel free to message me. I know most of you don't want to give up your spots, but figured I would ask!

Thanks all,

Swampy

Think you're gonna find people tight lipped. I know a couple tournaments out there this weekend, bass champs next weekend. Good luck.

Part of the fun is figuring a new lake out. Fish it like you would any other lake. You'll catch

fish shallow, cover water, you will do fine. If it looks good, fish it.

Be sure and idle over the stump field. That's why it's there... very few venture to the Mecca. It's just below the surface so you won't know it's there till you get right on it

Go north about 15 miles to Lake Winnsboro, white spinner bait and Texas Rig. You will catch them all day

Might be a tough weekend for your second trip to Fork. Cooler weather, wind, tournament pressure. There is a huge misconception about how good Fork is for most people. It's an amazing lake if you fish it often, use a guide, or get lucky. Most guys that show up a few times a year struggle a lot.

Some Bass (not many) were still on beds in the lower creeks last weekend. Finally sight fished one myself. Slow down and fish the new cover thoroughly, but still cover water. When you get bit, milk it for a wile. They were in groups of twos and threes everywhere I got bit or saw fish.

They started releasing water yesterday too. Apparently didn't affect the media bass guys, 2 overs were weighed in.
