Gonna tow the flats boat up to devils river begging of next month. Has anyone been up that way in a while? Anything running up on the lake. Got my rubbermaid bin of fresh water lures already packed up. Gonna pick up a bunch more spinnerbaits.

Shakey heads and small Tx rigs, flukes. Plenty of fish up that arm

Bucket list trip for me just for the scenery. Good luck.

I fish around the bakers crossing area fairly often so a complete different part of the river. I'd keep it natural though so small 3 inch bigger craws on a Texas rig are killer on the river.

Catching fish up there is just a bonus. The scenery is awsome.

Pumpkin seed grub. Longer shank jig head than normal. Spinning rig. Cleanest water and best smallmouth I have ever seen. The pool above Nolan falls is heaven. I always brought more grubs than I thought I needed and always ran short. Fished with a guide name Gerald several times. Truly a special place . Good luck and enjoy. JD

The stretch I fish has some quality. It's not accessible by lake though. There's over 30 miles of fishing that's not accessible by lake.

We are taking my New water. It will draft 5" of water with the motor up and the trolling motor out of the water. Looking forward to getting to some areas that are not normally reached. Did a camping trip up there a few years back and had a blast. We packed the boat and packed everything back. Made a great trip.

Unless it will jump waterfalls you will stop pretty quick.
The good smallmouths I have caught have always been above the last falls.
But it is gorgeous.

We are going to load up a paddle board so I might just have to paddle up there.
