If you had to choose, which one? Got to make a decision for one now and the other later this year.

ULTREX .....have a Terrova ..... got an HDS 9 a year after the Terrova I would trade both for the ULTREX ...... of course the Terrova is 2 years old. I think the TM is way more important than bigger images on a TV screen

Ive got both. Although the Ultrex is the best trolling motor on the market IMO, I could do with out it if I had to choose. I would go back to a Fortrex if I had to, but I would not want to go back to a smaller screen size on my HDS units.

Its the best upgrade you can buy. Its like having a guide in the boat. Point it and It goes. Lock it and it stays. Move 20 feet forward and 10 feet left, no problem. It moves and stays there. All from the remote. The electronic steering is great. No torque or feedback on the pedal. I have the Ipilot version without the HB link. It will save 16 spots and 16 two mile long trails that you can go back to and follow at any time. When I pull up to one of my spots, I kill the motor, deploy the Ultrex and use the "go to " feature. I then get out rods, retie, whatever I may need to do. The whole time the boat is putting itself in position on my spot. You can do this from up to 1/4 mile away.
