Big weekend coming up. Refer to subject line. Do traps really work above 60 degree water temp?

It's 28 degrees here right now and guaranteed the water temp is gonna be below 60 this weekend. The trap bite should be pretty good.

Yep 3/4 oz white crawfish, or whatever your favorite Rayburn red color is, should do the trick. For whatever reason the colder it gets the better the trap bite. Won a lot of money years ago on T-Bend 32 degrees, snow, sleet, rain and wind, killed em on that WC trap.

You can catch fish around grass on traps year round.
Colors are to sell to fishermen, use the color you have confidence in, its a reaction bait.

You can almost always catch them on a trap at Rayburn. You will do a lot of chunken and winding though.

Crazy question. Trap and more trap. If there's any grass trap. Winter through spring it's tough to beat around drains and grass. Has it's place rest of the year but when water is cold in winter until fish are spawning it's hard to beat at Rayburn.
