I'd try the Vendetta 2 series. I think they have a 7' Med Light action that should work well for that.

Very nice rod: Shimano Compre spinning rod, 6'8" medium. Light, sensitive, split grip with good feel.

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

Shimano Crucial's on clearance at my local Academy for 77 bucks. Normal price 169 I think. I'm thinking about grabbing one even though I really don't need it. smile

I use a Vendetta medium for drop shot and happy with it.

Looking at the Academy website,

they have the Falcon BuCoo 6'6" Medium/Medium Fast on clearance for $83 (in cart price)

The Daiwa Tatula 7' Medium/Fast is on clearance for $119 (in cart price) also available in ML/Fast

The St. Croix Premier 7' ML/fast is on clearance for $104 (in cart price)

The online price for the Shimano Crucial 6'6" Medium/Fast is $127 (in cart price)

Awesome guys, really appreciate the advice. Seems like the vendetta is pretty popular
