Friday we got on the water at Welsh probably about 7:15 or so. Bite was kind of slow in the morning. Had about 5 fish in the boat by 9ish. Then it really picked up for us as the day went on. Got back to the ramp at roughly 3:30 with 42 in the boat. Lost a bunch of dinks, broke off a few on stumps, etc. water temp was 74ish

Found a lot of our fish in the grass and flooded timber. From really skinny water to 11ft or so. Texas rigged plastics seem to be what they wanted. Saw a bunch of kayakers busting them on rat-L-traps

Fork today was tough (surprise, surprise) only boated 6 all day. Morning was rough, fog was heavy and it felt colder than forecasted. Marked a bunch of fish 20-27ft couldn't get a bite. C rigs, jigging spoons, finesse shaky heads on main lake points and deep jumps. Moved a bit more shallow on main lake banks and got into some fish busting shad later in the day on swimbaits and flukes. Water temp 63ish.

I'm beginning to hate Fork and the folks on here who post pictures of the 15-20 fish with a few 5lb-8lbers in they caught the same day I was as there! Lol

We caught 6 today also. A good bag of unders and a 3 lb slot. Tried fishing new water and didn't like what I saw, so went to an old standby and put 6 in the boat quickly. Then loaded the livewells with catfish and went home. This morning was COLD on Fork!
