What is you guys tool of choice for hook removal?

I was looking at trying a pair of hemostats like the Orvis Power Jaws Forceps and wanted to get your guys opinions. I have been using small needle nose pliers, but I feel like the hemostats could be better, especially with the smaller profile to possibly stay off the gills more on the through the gill method for deep hooked fish. I have also tried the "T" shaped hook removers, but didn't really like them (could have just been I bought a bad one also). The longer pistol grip type ones work well for me, but I would like to have something that fits in a pocket for when I pond fish as well.
