Looking for some ideas. Got the boat emptied out, have great management system for my soft plastics (see below) and hard baits. However I'm dissatisfied with how I carry my hooks. Historically I have used small plano or other hard plastic boxes, however over the course of only a few days they will jostle and next thing I have 4/0 EWG hooks in the 3/0 regular space and everything is all mixed together and my eyes aren't good enough anymore to tell them apart. Next thing I know i want a specific hook I don't have it because I have no, i guess inventory control is what I am missing. I know Aaron Martins carries his in the original packaging in freezer bags, anyone else have good ideas? Soft plastic storage video

Original packaging. Keep the majority of the hooks organized at home to avoid water contact.
It might not look cool, but after trying several methods (safety pins holding hooks, designated plano box for hooks, ziplock bags, etc) I use a fanny pack to take the hooks I use the most. In the fanny pack at all times I'll have the following in their original packaging; 1 packet of 5/0 superline hooks 1 packet of 4/0 superline hooks 1 packet of 3/0 superline hooks 1 packet of thin wire 4/0 hooks 1 packet of thin wire 3/0 hooks 1 packet of 5/0 underspins 1 packet of 4/0 underspins 1 packet of 7/0 belly weighted hooks 1 packet of 5/0 belly weighted hooks 1 packet of 3/0 belly weighted hooks 1 packet of size 2 hooks for drop shot and wacky 1 packet of size 2/0 weedless hooks for weedless wacky 1 packet of 3/8oz shaky 1 packet of 1/6oz ned rig I also carry my fishing license, bobber stoppers, crig beads, scissors, nail clippers and a knife in separate compartments.
Having your hooks/braid scissors/bobber stoppers within reach saves a lot of time if you have to retie or change out the hook. Unless you fall in the water, they stay dry. When you change out the hook, it's easy to find the packaging and put them back in the fanny pack.
I'll have a few extra size 2 and size 4 trebles in the crankbait plano boxes.

I keep all my terminal in a bass mafia box and love it, I super glued the dividers down so they don't slip up and others slide under neath.

Something that might work that just occurred to me after setting up my medicines for the month is to use the transparent pill bottles. They came in various sizes and you can easily fit hooks in them. Put all the bottles in a clear container box with a lid and write on the pill bottle lids to id them.

I'm doing this same thing. Trying to organize my boat to carry the weight the best and so I can find what I'm looking for. Terminal tackle is a pain. But.... A friend of mine uses a Bass Mafia Bait coffin 3700DD to keep his hooks in. Its deep enough you can keep the original package and label. At least the owners you can I know for sure. I like it.. a lot... its just you will pay for the bass mafia box. its around 40$ or so.

I use a grey guide gear Plano that has a top and bottom compartment. It's the best I've used. I've used different types of plants and even the Falcon terminal tackle organizer. The grey one works really good and doesn't let stuff get over the walls when running. I put my hooks in the top with swivels and other stuff and keep my weights, pegs, and a couple other things in the bottom.

My experience is that if hooks are loose it can dull the points when they bounce around in the boat. Secondly, it is easy for me to confuse the sizes of some of the hooks. My solution has been to leave them in the packages they came in. I put packages of all hook sizes and styles that I need in a zip lick sandwich bag to take with me in my worm bag. All extra hook packages are also put in a ziplock bag and kept at home until needed.
Sometimes, when worm fishing, I put one pack of hooks in a tackle box tray (3/0 EWG Gammes) with a pack or two of worms, for easy access. For this, I use a tray that has no dividers.
My worm bag is a bag that BASS gave me for subscribing to the magazine. It holds a good supply of worms (also kept in the package they came in). I also usually have a few spools of line in the bag for leader material or in the rare case I need to respool a reel while fishing. Any kind of extra stuff can be kept in the worm bag that I always take fishing, along with the tackle box that holds five 8 1/2 x 11 inch plastic trays.
At home, I have a ton of plastics, jigs, SBs, crankbaits, spoons, etc. Before every fishing trip, I go through the worm bag and tackle box to ensure I have everything I will need. Gives me something to do that I enjoy.

Hi ho silver Lone ranger, I just found a video featuring guys using that box and the little bags from BPS. I guess you just organize them somehow by type and size? looks like its hard to keep track of what is where in there?

Here's the video I found, if I can figure out how to label for quick reference this looks like the way to go. Hopefully kills some of the moisture issues. Just little FYI, this Christmas lots of gifts have the little silica bags, i bought them in bulk and scatter them in all my boxes, really, really helps keep the moisture down in boxes, just change them regularly. good tackle management video link

here's one I use to save time and manage my Crig terminal tackle . Take a round pool noodle , dark color if you have one , cut it to about 12" length , take some paper clips and cut them in half , pre- tie your leaders to desired length , LB test , hook size, type of swivel etc... once they are tied , bury the hook in the pool noodle , wrap the leader around the noodle , use the paper clip to secure the swivel end . I use a sharpie to label the end of the pool noodle with the LB test used . I use Crigs all the time and this makes retying much easier and faster .

That dab of superglue on each joint is brilliant!
