No stumps. Lots of waves. Look out for shallow rocky ledges and flats.

Easy to run watch out for shallow flats off main river. Mainly just an issue when water is low, watch for the large waves made by the large pleasure boats

When the wind blows it doesn't get waves it gets big swells. Be careful.

I grew up on Texoma fishing and boating. All the above are correct. Be cautious of wind forecasts (direction and speed) with regards to getting back to the ramp. Give a safe distance on the Oklahoma side of islands, they are all sand, which means what was navigable a couple of years ago may not be now. If running the Big Mineral area there are a couple of submerged islands at the mouth, stay to the east going in. Several of the sandbars on the west end and east/north of the islands shift around when it floods, not drastically usually, but enough that the gps might not have the most accurate info.

Wind and big boats are the biggest problems.

Fished two big tournaments as a co-angler there and don't think I ever saw a stump.

Launch in Platter Flats and you won't have to deal with wind or yachts. Lots of area to fish and you want have to go to the main lake.

We had one sneak up on us at night running the lake during tourny. I don't think I've ever puckered so hard in my life.

Haven't seen any floating debris in quite some time between 377 and the peninsula or behind the islands. Weekenders are dying out pretty quick right now too.
