Fishing a body of water you have never been to can be a little intimidating so I take you through my thought process on approaching new bodies of water along with some fishing action.

How often do you change lures? My dad and I fished Thursday at Joe pool and did TERRIBLE. We tried Texas rigged, top water, spinner baits and jigs and only got one fish. Granted it was the day after the front, but it still makes you feel like a terrible fisherman.

Truth be told, there will always just be crumby days BUT I usually will switch to super finesse tactics if I'm not getting bit on any moving baits, jigs or texas rigs. Going to a dropshot on light line or a weightless plastic like a fluke or whacky worm is a good switch up. I will usually give it half the day and if I'm struggling at lunch I will retie a couple rigs. You may not get the big bites but it will increase your odds. Thanks for watching guys!

Thanks! I always really enjoy your videos as well. You've inspired me to keep trying to find those big fish on Ray Hubbard.
