Thinking about fishing Ray Roberts for the first time tomorrow morning. If I put in at Jordan Park and go towards Wolf Creek, how far can I safely run before I need to slow to an idle?

You will see the standing timber and once you get in it you need to idle. Everything between the boat ramp and the island is clear.

Just watch your depth charts, there are shallows between there. The timber starts at Wolf Island. Go south of the island then turn north and shut it down at the telephone poles. There is a place to run back there on an old road bed, farm, and fence, but I wouldn't do it without idling and setting waypoints.
