One of the bay's on our pond has had schools of bass, 6-12 in a school, cruising to feed on the huge clouds of bait in the bay. Thursday they were killing the shad rap.

Friday, I ran the Shad rap thru the schools...no interest. I tried a small and large Kastmaster...no interest.

Any suggestions as to what else to throw at them??

It is impressive to see these schools charge at once and Shad flying to try to get away.

This^^^

It is amazing how quickly the fish can become conditioned away from one bait. I have run into this situation at Fork before when the bass were so keyed in on small 1 to 1.5" shad that all my lures (I tried a bunch) would go unnoticed. Finally I went to a clear Baby Torpedo and they bit.

Ken, that's my concern. The balls of shad on this pond are huge. I have tried to match pretty much.

Try a launcher with one of the tiny flukes from either Zoom or Lunker City http://www.lunkercity.com/. I have had good luck on White Ice type colors when the bass get laser focused on small shad.

Just in case. Launcher = https://www.hanapaafishing.com/products/launcher-floats

And when you read the directions on the Launcher you'll be thinking to yourself this is going to turn into a twisted mess the first time I throw it. Well it doesn't and it will allow you to make a decent cast with weightless tiny baits.
