Looking to plan a trip for a buddy when he comes out in late fall. Best places to fish along with possible guide services with the best deals?

Not sure on guide services but I would go to Sam Rayburn.

May not be Fork but think about Caddo Lake - awesome place, will certainly leave an impression on both of you. Plenty of guides including Billy Carter, http://johnsonsranch.net/fishing_guides.htm just google, there are others that are more big bass oriented as well.

I fish a lot of ray Roberts, probably like 3 times a week. And been on fork. I would love to get out there on a weekday, but weekends are kinda crazy after far as fishing pressure. Does rayburn or Toledo get less pressure?
