Havent been there in a while til saturday. They finally quit letting people fish all over the dock so people with boats have somewhere to tie off

Now. Whats working now. Fishing 15 to 20 feet carolia rig lizzards and brush hogs produced nothing

Not much works well out there in summer except the beer nozzles at the tavern.

I find in these temps, they're almost unreachable, being far back and deep under Gibbons Creek's many fields of pads where they choose to stay out of the sunlight. I usually can get a few to bite on the pad edges but mostly only at 1st and last sunlight positioned near deeper waters where they easily and quickly fill up on the abundant passing summer schools of baitfish.

Clouds and wind are your friend....May help to find pads that have the wind blowing the slightly more oxygenated midlake cooler waters in and onto the pads/shoreline rather than pads that only have the hot shoreline wind blowing on them.

I take a break from Gibbons Creek starting after the 4th of July weekend until mid-September.
