Has anyone been out on Holbrook lately? I'm debating on going there or Athens this evening. I caught a few bass yesterday on Athens but they all looked unhealthy and I've never been to Holbrook and wanna get in to some bigger ones. Anyone know how it's fishing? Or have any tips? Thanks in advance.

Haven't been this year but I fished it a few times last summer. Each time, I tried to catch them deep but I only ended up catching 'em way up in the north end. You'll often see them busting schools of shad up there. Squarebills, wacky senkos, and flukes are what I caught them on.

I also heard that Holbrook was stumpy is there a boat lane or a certain side of the lake I should stay on?

Watch for marker bouyes they mark where it's not safe to run. Mainly just north end of lake idle only past the markers

Be very careful up there in the north end. Idle with the motor trimmed up all the way, and be ready to cut the motor when you run up on a stump. There's a bunch of them just below the surface.
