Are they worth the money/do you use them? I can see the compartment LEDs being super helpful, but how useful are the deck lights if they take away from your night vision? Also which deck color would be best? I like white but I imagine that would be too bright for night time. Thanks!

I like mine. I have red. On when I fish at night. Turn them off when you run. Mine are not to bright but you can see the deck and your feet.

I have them....they suck. They are too bright for night fishing. I guess they'd be better on a ski boat. Lol

The blue strips I had on my previous boat were not helpful in tying knots, but finding tools and lures were easy with them. My current boat has the rigid deck lights, that may be too bright, I haven't fished in pre-dawn yet, but tying knots or doing work in the driveway has been a breeze!

They won't help you night fish, they are too bright. They do look cool though and are pretty easy to install. You can't really run with them after dark either. They do help you find your co-angler though.

I have the red ones, to me they help to keep from stepping on rods when launching.

Plus if the opportunity ever arises I throw the stripper pole up front and watch the show under the red lights.

They are mainly just for looks for most people. You can install a dimmer to make them better for night fishing.

I think they look goofy. In compartment lighting I can appreciate. Deck lighting is useless to me. No use in daylight, can't see to run and probably not legal, and of no use night fishing.

they are cheap and easy to install. i have red and they are great for night fishing. i can see everything in my boat and it adds a little light to get an idea where you're casting when there's no moonlight. most of all, they look cool and the chicks dig em. to answer your question, yes and yes.
