Just wondering if anyone has been out the AH lately? I'm taking my son fishing this weekend, and I guess I'll get some minnows and go catch endless amounts of 10 inch spots. Haven't been on the lake since March. How's fishing?

There is an endless supply of small spots up shallow.
My son throws beetle spins and catches tons of small spots and bream.
If you fish next to some of the ledges you can fish deep for better fish while he catches plenty small fish along the bank.
Some good fish along those ledges as well.

Fished yesterday and it was tough. From daylight to 11:00. Only caught 1 on a nail weighted super fluek. Had bites on white soft plastic baits, but it was tough. Had a bunch of hits (probably small spots or perch), but not hookups. The spot we caught was close to 2.25 lbs and bit in 16' of water off of a point. Last Friday, a 9.25 lber came off of a ledge in 40+ foot of water. Most fish in the T came on soft plastics fished in 17-20' of water. We had some fish on jerkbaits and caught 4 of them. Dropshots also caught 3 or 4 fish for us on Friday night. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

The DVD I have shows all the cover in the lake at 25' depth, so it is a good way to eliminate spots.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
