Looking to take my father fishing this weekend at one of these three lakes(LoneStar, Gilmer, or Lake O' the Pines). Has anybody been on either of them in the last week or so? If so was the bite good.

Thanks, and have a blessed day.

I heard that they sprayed Gilmer and all the moss is gone. Also the Sportsman Bass Club is out there this weekend.
If it was me I would go to Lone Star.

That's the first time I have heard that about Gilmer, happy I asked because that's where I was gonna go. Sounds like LoneStar may be the place for this weekend.

I fished Gilmer two weeks ago on a Saturday and caught squat almost all of the grass is gone. Very little on the west end and it does not look good. Fished Lone Star that Sunday (half day) and caught squat there as well. Sorry can't be on much help!

I went to LOP today from 0530-1200 and found active fish from 0600-0900 and then it slowed. Caught good numbers but no size with the largest being 3 1/2.

There will be 3 derbies on Pines Saturday. Come by a little crowded.
