How will the water level affect the tournament? Lake is right at 626 right now.

Thoughts?

Does anyone plan on going?

I think they are doing the weigh in at Indian Casino

I suspect this will be a flop just like the TTBC they had on Roberts..

Planning on being there on Sunday. The high water will make it tough, but these guys will figure it out. They always do.

I asked this guy the same question about the water level when he came by my dock Sunday afternoon pitching a white swim jig. He said he didn't know ??????

Almost 9 feet above pool and rising, I wonder how high it would have to get for them to cancel?

Justin Lucas posted this picture on FB. If anyone ever wondered why they call it the red river....

Also on a related note. I found it funny that this kind of post is ok by an angler but lets not talk about pictures posted on the BASS blog....

Lol that's ridiculous. This is a Bassmaster Elite event not a one off event like the TTBC. Should be interesting to see how the pros adapt to the conditions.

You haven't changed Jack. Still negative. This will be a great event and a boon to the economy .
These guys will find fish! BTW, this was planned months ago and I am sure the organizers did not have a crystal ball to forecast high water.

They will catch em... the backwater guys might struggle a little because of how scattered the shallow water fish are but all in all they will catch em.

Bass fishing and gambling. Bass fishing is High steaks gambling. The casino will be loaded with people. It should be a great event and the smallmouth might play a part.

I went out Saturday to check water clarity and it wasn't bad from Platter to the dam...Towards the river getting to Cumberland though, that's the Justin Lucas picture for sure.

I have Chris Zaldain staying at our lakehouse, what cool guy and laser focused! He sent me this text yesterday, bass are tough but what a nice striper!

We will be up there Thursday - Sunday following, got a buddy flying in from Denver.

We plan on going on Saturday. With the water that high, are there any ramp closures to be aware of?
