I ran regular 87 octane in mine when I owned one. Depending on age of your VMax and any engine mods, you may need higher octane. Here's all you ever wanted to know. http://www.vmaxoutlaw.com/tech/octane.htm

200sho is 89. 225 and 250 is 93. It's weird. Personally. After break in. I've ran a lot of regular threw all of my engines. 93is best but if your burning a lot of gas regularly. I believe 87 is fine. This is my opinion only!!

Use what the manufacturer of your motor recommends. Simple. V-max:87 octane.
