Can anyone tell me how to get into the throttle and gear shift assembly for my Nitro z8. I am having trouble getting it to go in and out of gear. I can hear something rattling around inside the assembly. I have a new (less than a yr.) Torque Master lower unit on it. The engine will start with it in gear. Can someone point me to a website or explosion view that will let me get into it.

What's a Nitto?

You have a Mercury engine, so you have a Mercury hidden shifter. They are usually mounted to the backside of a removable panel you need to get loose. Look for "button covers" over screw-heads that will allow you to get the panel loose. You'll need a Mercury diagram after that.
