Okay so on my Humminbird 688 I seem to have a problem with the GPS which is the only thing I use this unit for. Every time I turn it on and go to the mapping screen it shows a white screen saying "No GPS Position Fix" but if I leave it on for like ten minutes it will show my GPS location but every few seconds it will still flash saying "No GPS Position Fix." After that goes thru it works fine but when I turn my outboard off and then back on it loses My GPS location and goes back to the white screen that appears when I first start the unit and go to the mapping... Does anybody know what is going on or how to fix it?

Also I have pics of the screen but it won't upload them from my iPhone

see if you can find another puck to hook up and see if it does the same thing.

Make sure power connection is good from battery to the unit. A weak connection is what does that

does the sonars work..? If so I would say the internal antennae is not getting and holding the signal.
I have 2 of these, and haven't had a GPS problem except when its really cloudy,..or real cold..
check your voltage, if continues then call Customer service, jim

This most likely, when the power has weak connection the GPS is usually first problem that occurs. Try running power directly to the battery. Make sure battery is still good also. You want to avoid if all possible wiring harnesses and fuse panels that are not dedicated to graphs.

I have an 898c SI, and the connections from the cables onto the back of the unit are extremely touchy. My guess would be that your GPS cable isn't connecting good to the back of the unit. Don't know if yours has the same wiring setup as mine, but I have 3 wires going into the back of my unit. One for the transducer, one for GPS, and one for power. The one for the GPS is in the middle. The only times I've had problems are when the GPS wire isn't connected good, put in upside down, or when the puck went bad.

Do you have one of those mounting clips that the wires sit in, and then the whole clip attaches to the back of the unit? That could help keep your connections snugged up.
