I live at most 2mi from the Richard Simpson Ramp, and I might go to that lake once or twice a year and get so ticked I never stay long. I know there are some nice fish in it, but it just baffles me. I know you can count on 1-2 off the dam, but where else are those fish? I hate driving to fish once or twice a month when I could just go here few times a week. Anyone got some tips? I don't tourney fish other than the free one we did for the OT guys early this month at Fork. It was more of an excuse for us to drink all night, eat crawfish, and BS.

Ratx shoot me an email at gvmturney@gmail.com and I will give you tips on that lake. I once felt like you do but have fished there a lot and it holds a lot of fish and good quality fish also.

Like you, I live close but I despise that lake. I zero more trips than I catch. Lucky if I catch one or two. It is a last resort lake for me and even then I normally would rather stay home. Two years and I never figured that lake out
