Since BPS no longer handles Team Daiwa products, I stuck my neck out & ordered a Johnny Morris Titanium 8 combo.
Anybody tried out one of these?
Thanks

I purchased a Titanium8 8.1:1 ratio reel about a month ago and put it on my existing CarbonLite 6'9" rod. I had a high end Shimano Calais on the rod and loved it but wanted to turn the Calais into a pure bait caster on a 7'6" rod. I thought the 8.1:1 ratio and massive 19lb drag on the Titanium would help me fish heavy cover. I have not been disappointed. This is my first Johnny Morris/BP reel and it is a quality piece of equipment. I have loved the Carbonlite rods for years. Together they make a great combination. I just checked the BP site and for some reason the 8.1:1 ratio reel is no longer listed. In my opinion the retrieve ratio on this reel is a bit much for traditional bait casting which is why I chose it to rapidly horse fish out of cover.
