Does any part of the day seem to be better? Sun or clouds have much effect?

They are an all day bait when they are eating it. Don't put them down just cause its sunny. It's like a jig. You almost have to commit to it.

I like it during high sun when the fish get tight to cover. But then again where I normally fish frogs is around trees, atumps, laydowns and such. Can't tell you the last time I caught a frog fish around some type of vegetation. Normally if a piece of cover holds a fish you won't get 2 twitches on the frog before it's swallowed
