I just got a helix 9 and was wondering if you guys could give me a few pointers. I know there are a lot of variables,(water clarity, etc) but what would be a good place to start with sensitivity, contrast , chartspeed, mph? Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Forgot to mention, this is SI I'm asking about

Hey Hornet,

I got a helix 10 a few weeks ago amd have really liked it so far. I watched doug vahrenburgs videos on youtube a couple times and then hit the water.

Boat speed match chart speed.

I cracked up sensitivity until it was mostly static and then started turning it back down until i liked it. About 10-12 based on which lake.

I then used the contrast to fine tune the image. Mine stuck at about 8-10

I put the filter on low.

If you havent already installed your transducer I would recommend swapping it for the hd si transducer that comes with the helix 10.

The images are night amd day different in my opinion.

I dont have any standard settings as every lake i go on I tweak my settings a little to optimize the picture.

Have a good one!
